Your responsibilities:

  • Conducting a research project in the field of computational neuroscience
  • Development, simulation and analysis of biophysical neuronal networks for unraveling potential common neural mechanisms of time perception and working memory
  • Dissemination of results in conference presentations and scientific publications
  • Opportunity to contribute to planning, conducting and analyzing EEG experiments
  • Opportunity to pursue own research questions and contribute to grant proposals

Your profile:

  • PhD (completed or submitted) in computational neuroscience, physics, mathematics, computer science or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and programming skills (MATLAB, Python)
  • Research experience and publications in computational neuroscience, ideally in biophysical neuronal networks
  • Interest in dynamical systems theory, cognitive neuroscience and/or neuropsychology and artificial neural networks. Experience in any of these fields is welcome but not required.
  • Very good command of the English language (written and orally), German language skills are not required
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, output orientation and scientific ambition
