We are looking for a temporary assistant to take care of our water laboratory at the School of Technology, Engineering and Architecture at our Heidelberg campus. The position is a fixed-term position ending March 31st, 2027.

Your responsibilities:

Equipment care: clean glassware and report defects or maintenance needs
Lab organization/safety: keep the lab tidy, monitor inventory and safety equipment
Project support: assist with experiments, lab sessions and STEM (MINT) activities
Sampling and sample preparation: collect and store samples and prepare reagents and dilutions following lab protocols
Data documentation: enter measurement data into spreadsheets or the lab database and help with simple evaluations and charts
Additional duties and operational support: when required

Your profile:

Ideally you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at TEAC
Very basic familiarity with laboratory safety protocols
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently after initial training
Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work in a team
Basic skills in data entry and documentation using MS Excel or basic statistical tools are an advantage
Availability to work 43 hours per month and at times on weekends
