At EBS Business School, the Group of Economics & Philosophy seeks to appoint a new faculty member in the position of an Assistant Professor f/m/d of Microeconomics (tenure track)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining an active research agenda aimed at making a significant contribution in the field of Microeconomics
  • Teaching and tutoring students at Bachelor´s and Master´s level as well as contributing to further teaching and administrative responsibilities of the Economics & Philosophy group
  • Active cooperation with the scientists of the group and the school
  • Supporting the acquisition of external research funding

Your Profile:

  • Applicants must have a Doctoral degree, Ph.D., or equiv. in Economics, or a closely related area, by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter from an internationally renowned university or business school
  • Pedagogical aptitude and experience in teaching and supervising students
  • Show promise or record of high-quality research, ideally proven by R&Rs or first publications in internationally renowned journals
  • The focus will be on suitable candidates with research expertise and interest in Microeconomic Theory and its applications
  • Additional expertise in quantitative and applied fields, e.g., mathematics, programming skills and empirical work is welcome

We offer a dynamic, international, and team-oriented working environment in intensive dialogue with academic colleagues and our business partners. The position runs for 3 years with a regular extension for another 3 years upon positive mid-term evaluation. After successful completion of the final evaluation, the temporary position may be converted into a permanent position in accordance with the tenure-track regulations applicable to EBS Business School.
