Your responsibilities:
- Independent management and strategic development of degree programs, with a strong emphasis on internationalization and interdisciplinarity
- Teaching legal subjects in English, both in specialized Master’s programs such as the LL.M. in Law & Technology and in English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, and other fields
- Active involvement in academic self-governance, with a solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset
- Development and maintenance of partnerships with external stakeholders, including international collaborations
- Contribution to research, academic innovation, and practice-oriented knowledge transfer
Your profile:
- Doctorate or PhD in law or a related discipline, or a U.S. Juris Doctor (J.D.), or an equivalent qualification. (In the case of a U.S. Juris Doctor or equivalent qualifications, additional academic credentials e.g. in the form of academic publications may be required for appointment. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
- Neither the First State Examination (Germany) nor the Bar Exam (US and other jurisdictions) is required
- Proven track record of excellent teaching
- Outstanding command of English and the ability to teach legal subjects in English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Expertise in business law
- Experience in or commitment to developing a specialization in technology law (e.g. data protection, artificial intelligence, intellectual property)
- German language proficiency is an asset but not required
