To support our School of Arts, Information, and Media, we seek lecturers (m/f/d) on a freelance basis at our Heidelberg campus for the Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program, specializing in Natural Language Processing.

Your responsibilities:

Deliver in-person lectures, tutorials, and practical lab sessions
Teach modules related to Social Media Analytics, Sentiment Analysis, Generative AI for Creative Content, AI-powered Content Creation, Multimodal AI applications
Guide students for Sentiment analysis and opinion mining and Topic modeling and trend analysis, Chatbot and AI assistant development
Prepare teaching materials, assessments, and examination tasks
Support students in practical and research-oriented learning activities
Support academic administration tasks, such as curriculum development, student mentoring, and accreditation processes
Collaborate with faculty members and participate in academic meetings and quality assurance activities

Your profile:

A Master's or PhD (or nearing completion) in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
Demonstrated expertise in Natural Language Processing, with a strong publication record
Teaching experience at university level, preferably in English
Proficiency in Python and modern NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK)
Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms or MLOps for NLP workflows
